The municipality of El Ain is located northwest of the city of Sfax and belongs to the Sfax South delegation. It covers an area of 1480 hectares and has an estimated population of around 50,000 inhabitants. Historically, it is known for its vast agricultural lands and fruit trees, especially almond trees.
